KAIWHIRIWHIRI WHĀNAU SERVICES
We build trusted relationships to walk alongside whānau, helping them create personalised, realistic plans and access the support they need to thrive.

Guiding whānau forward
Kaiwhiriwhiri Whānau Services is a wraparound service dedicated to walking alongside whānau on their unique journey. Through trusted relationships and strong community networks, we support whānau to set meaningful goals and take confident steps toward them.
We understand that success looks different for everyone. Our approach is grounded in listening, adapting, and uplifting, never judging and never assuming.
Our approach
A hand up, not a hand out.
Our strengths include:
-
Relationships
-
Adaptability
-
Belief in our whānau
We walk with whānau, not ahead of them, making sure they feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
What we offer

Our experienced team brings diverse skillsets and lived experience to support whānau across education, justice, health, and community services.
We meet whānau where they are and walk with them toward where they want to be.
-
No external referral needed
-
All services are free
-
Open to all whānau in need
Rangatahi focused programmes:
We deliver tailored programmes in schools and communities that help rangatahi explore pathways that match their aspirations. Our aim is to empower young people to shape lives of their own choosing.
Accessible health outreach:
We work alongside medical teams in schools and communities, supporting outreach clinics and pop up services to make essential health care easier for whānau to access.
Civil defence support:
During natural disasters or community emergencies, our team is often among the first on the ground. We provide immediate practical support and essential resources to help whānau and communities through crisis.
Justice and corrections navigation:
Our navigators work closely with the Ministry of Justice and Corrections. With strong networks and experience inside these systems, we help whānau navigate complex and often intimidating processes so that they never face them alone.
