RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
Our Residential Services provide short term, kaupapa Māori support for individuals who need a safe, structured environment to focus on their wellbeing.

Te Puna Oranga and Te Hurihanga
Te Puna Oranga and Te Hurihanga offer therapeutic, culturally grounded spaces where tangata whaiora can strengthen their hauora, build coping skills, and work toward recovery.
Our residential programmes offer focused support in a supportive, structured setting. During their stay, tangata whaiora are supported to:
-
Feel safe, settled, and supported
-
Strengthen emotional and mental wellbeing
-
Build practical coping and life skills
-
Reconnect with culture, identity, and values
-
Prepare for a safe and positive return to their community
Our services provide clear pathways that support people to return to their whānau and communities with improved wellbeing and renewed resilience.
Our approach
We offer one‑to‑one support, wellbeing planning, group sessions, and community‑based interventions. Our residential support is grounded in kaupapa Māori practice and delivered with care, respect, and aroha.
Our approach strengthens hauora, promotes recovery, and helps individuals and whānau make meaningful, lasting changes. We recognise the importance of providing an environment where people feel safe, valued, and supported to focus on their wellbeing.
We focus on:
-
Mana enhancing care, ensuring dignity, choice, and autonomy are upheld at every stage of support
-
Strong cultural connection, supporting identity, tikanga, and a sense of belonging
-
Holistic wellbeing, acknowledging the physical, emotional, mental, cultural, and social aspects of hauora
-
Guided, strengths based support that meets people where they are and adapts as needs change
Every person is supported through an individualised approach that reflects their needs, strengths, goals, and aspirations, while helping them build resilience and confidence for their return to the community.
