New hauora clinic for Kawakawa

We’re excited to share that preparations are well underway for the new Ngāti Hine Health Trust Hauora Clinic, a purpose-built space dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our whānau. This marks a major step forward in our commitment to providing culturally grounded healthcare right here in our rohe.

The clinic places a strong focus on diabetes support, offering a wraparound approach for 

those managing pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. 

With a nurse-led model at its core, the clinic brings together services such as:

• Podiatry

• Diabetes specialist support

• Nutritionist consultations

• 6-week diabetes education programmes

• One-on-one and group support with kaiāwhina

Designed to be accessible and culturally grounded, the hub aims to empower our whānau on 

their journey to better health, through whanaungatanga and holistic care.

We’ll be holding a soft launch for the new clinic on the 5th August at 10am and warmly invite all kaimahi to join us for a first look. Come explore the space, meet the team, and learn more about how this clinic will enhance health outcomes for our whānau through collective effort and innovation.
