In partnership with Kawakawa, Moerewa GPs and the Northland District Health Board together we are building the new integrated whanau wellness centre alongside the redeveloped Bay of Islands Hospital accident and medical department. We are committed to deliver a patient and whanau centred healthcare system that strives always to achieve the best health outcomes for all people living in this beautiful region of Northland

Being built at the Bay of Islands Hospital, Kawakawa during 2016, Te Hauora O Pukepuke Rau will be a state-of-the-art integrated whanau wellness centre; embracing a holistic approach to primary and community healthcare to achieve the best outcomes for all people and communities of the mid-north and Bay of Islands region.

Ngati Hine Health Trust

Te Hauora O Pukepuke Rau services will include:

- GP services and primary healthcare nursing
- Community, District and Public health nursing
- Podiatry and Diabetes care
- Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation services, Gym
- Tamariki Ora/ Well child services
- Kaumatua and Kuia/ Kaitiaki services

- Oral health and Dentistry
- Community outreach services
- Whanau Ora planning and navigation services
- Rongoa and Mirimiri
- NDHB Specialist outpatient services
- Café  for coffee and delicious, nutritious snacks

                                                

 

Anticipated Opening:

Watch out for further information as Te Hauora O Pukepuke Rau progresses in local and social media and listen on Ngati Hine FM.  GP services at Moerewa and Kawakawa, and all other NHHT services will continue to  be provided  from their current sites while the integrated whanau wellness centre is being built.
