Adolescent Dental Services

This is a FREE service which can be accessed via our Mobile Dental Units located at Bay of Islands, Northland and Okaihau Colleges throughout the year or clinics provided at Kawakawa and Kaikohe.

Children aged between 13-17 years, right up until the day before their 18th birthday. All children regardless of whether they are working, studying or at home are eligible for this free service. Once your child turns 18 years old they are no longer eligible for the FREE Service. Your child must be enrolled with our dental service.

Children in New Zealand are entitled to one free check-up per calendar year. If they experience another problem like toothache during the year, they are able to make another free appointment where the problem can be assessed.

Oral Health Dental Services

Hauora Whanui Dental Services provides a combination of affordable private and community dentistry out of two practices located at our main complex in Kawakawa, Marino Dental Kaikohe and two mobile dental units (MDU) in the sunny Far North.

The team works to improve the well-being of individuals and whanau through treatment and the promotion of good oral hygiene practices.  This is in conjunction with and support of the other services that are under the umbrella of the Ngati Hine Health Trust.
